I used to trowel everything by hand for 15 years. Now I use a power trowel on big slabs and wish I switched sooner.

I was one of those people who swore by hand troweling for the first 12 years or so. But I had a 2,000 square foot garage floor a few months back that just broke me, you know? @reese_garcia I used to think you guys were just lazy with the machines, but after that slab I borrowed a buddy's power trowel and it was like night and day. I still use a hand trowel for small patches and tight corners near walls, but for the big open stuff I'm converted now.
