Saw a sidewalk patch in Denver that looked like a cartoon character

I was walking in the LoDo area last week and saw a city crew's repair job on a cracked slab. The patch was this perfect oval shape, and the broom finish they tried to match went in a totally different direction than the original. It ended up looking like a big, confused eye staring up from the pavement. Has anyone else run into a public works fix that just made you laugh?

Man, that's a great spot. It makes you wonder if the crew ever steps back to look at their work. Some of these fixes have to be intentional, right?

Nah, I gotta disagree with you there @dylan_rodriguez. Most of the time it's just people rushing to get the job done before the deadline. They're not thinking about hidden messages or clever fixes. You see a lot of quick patches in my line of work too, stuff that just gets the package delivered. It's more about speed than art. People read way too much into random mistakes.
