Thought the fiber mesh was a gimmick until my slab in Wichita sat through a 40 degree swing
Last October I poured a 30x40 shop slab outside Wichita and the homeowner asked me to add fiber mesh to the mix instead of wire. I told him it was mostly a money grab, but he was paying so I said fine. That slab sat through a 40 degree temp swing in three days and I went back last month to check it. Not one hairline crack in the field, which I can't say for the wire mesh slabs I did the same week. Anybody else seeing fiber hold up long term or did I just get lucky with the mix?
