Hot take: Console players don't understand what 'plug and play' actually means
I was helping my buddy set up his new PS5 last week in his apartment in Akron, and we spent 45 minutes just getting the system update to install before he could even load a game. Then his internet crapped out and he couldn't play anything because the disc wasn't enough. Meanwhile my PC build from 2021 booted up first try after I swapped a GPU in 10 minutes. Has anyone else had a friend brag about console simplicity only to watch them fight with updates for an hour?

Take this with a grain of salt, but I've seen console setups go smooth as butter and PC builds take all weekend. Your buddy's internet crapping out sounds like an ISP problem more than a console problem. My nephew's Xbox Series S was literally playing games 20 minutes after unboxing with zero fuss. Maybe it's just the luck of the draw on update servers that day. We all get burned sometimes on both sides of the fence.
