My buddy with a $500 prebuilt told me his PC runs everything at 4K and I didn't have the heart to tell him his monitor is 1080p.

I was at his apartment in Portland last Friday and he was bragging about his framerates in Cyberpunk 2077, so I finally asked him what his display resolution was set at and sure enough it was 1920x1080 on a 4K-capable card how does that even happen.

I mean, that's like bragging about your Ferrari's speed while driving it in first gear.

Laughing at this because it's so true. It's like showing off your gaming PC but only using it to run Minesweeper. People love to flex their specs but never actually push them past 5% usage. Reminds me of those dudes who buy a 4k monitor then run everything at 1080p.
