Stopped hooking my PC to the living room TV and finally got why console guys win the couch fight
For 2 years I ran a 25 foot HDMI from my office to the TV in the front room so I could game on the big screen. Thought I was beating the system. Here is what kept happening. My wireless mouse and keyboard dropped out any time someone walked between rooms. Windows kept flipping the display to 30hz and I would not notice until a boss fight felt like mud. Then a buddy brought his console over and we were playing in 40 seconds flat. No drivers, no display settings, no checking which port was live. I still game on PC for most stuff, but that night made me admit consoles own the couch. Anyone else run a long cable setup and get burned by the small stuff?
