Wasted $300 on a 'pro gaming chair' that ruined my back

Bought one of those expensive racing style chairs from DXRacer back in 2019 thinking it would help my posture. After a year my lower back was killing me every night. Swapped to a basic office chair from Staples for $150 and felt better in a week. Anyone else fall for the gaming chair hype or was it just me?

Oh man, hard disagree here. Those cheap office chairs have zero lumbar support for actual long sessions (like 6+ hours of gaming). Your DXRacer probably just wasn't adjusted right, you know, the seat angle and the back tilt need to be dialed in perfectly. A random $150 chair from Staples might feel fine for a week, but the foam padding flattens out in three months and then you're sitting on a board. Racing style chairs force you to sit upright which actually helped my chronic slouching problem, so maybe your back just wasn't used to proper posture.

Didn't Matthew_reed50 just say you need to dial in the DXRacer, but I read a review that said those chairs actually cause tailbone issues over time?
