TIL the same stretch of road by my house looks 3 shades darker in photos from 2009 vs now, so what actually did it?
I was going through some old pics of my street near Fort Worth and put a 2009 shot next to one from last month, and the asphalt in the old one looks almost silver while the new one is dark gray. Same road, same sun angle from what I can tell, so I'm stuck on what caused it. One side of me thinks it's just repaving with a different mix, but my neighbor swears the city never touched it and blames sun fade or some coating they stopped using. Is there a real answer here or are we both just guessing at photos that were taken with two totally different cameras?
