A 60-year-old foreman took 5 minutes to show me something I'd been doing wrong for years
Last Tuesday on a jobsite in Phoenix, this old foreman watched me level a door frame and just shook his head. He pulled out a 4-foot level, flipped it upside down, and said 'you've been trusting the bubble when you should trust the frame.' He showed me how to use the edge of the level against the jamb instead of the face, and honestly it fixed a gap issue I'd been fighting for two years. Anyone else had a veteran site guy give them a trick that made their own tools feel foreign?
