My super's throwaway comment changed how I run morning briefings

Last Tuesday on the 57th Street job, my super watched me hand out the day's task list and just said 'you ever ask them what they think needs done first?' I laughed it off, but then I tried it Wednesday. Getting two carpenters and an electrician to set their own order of work cut our morning huddle from 20 minutes to 10, and nobody stood around waiting for direction. Has anyone else tried letting the crew call the sequence on a tight schedule?
