Found out the average contractor has 3 bad reviews before you even call them
I was reading a site that pulls contractor reviews from Google and Yelp, and one stat stuck with me: the average contractor sits at about a 4.2 star rating. That means a few one star posts are just normal noise, not a warning. I used to skip anyone with a single bad review, which knocked out probably half the guys in my area. Now I read the bad ones to see if the complaint is about the work or just about scheduling. How many bad reviews do you let slide before you move on?
