Serious question, I hit 27 contractor reviews on my page and it changed how I pick who to call
I started leaving reviews for every contractor I hire back in January, mostly because I got burned twice on a bathroom remodel and wanted to keep track. Last week I counted and I was at 27 reviews, which shocked me since I didn't think it was that many. The weird part is looking back at them, 9 of the 27 got 3 stars or less, and 6 of those were guys with good ratings on the big sites. Now I basically read the 2 and 3 star reviews first on any contractor before I call, because the 5 star ones all sound the same. I'm trying to figure out if I should be tracking stuff like how fast they answer the phone or if they show up when they say, or if that's overthinking it. Has anyone else kept a running list like this and did it actually help you avoid a bad hire?
