My old framing square from 1998 still checks true, but nobody at the supply house even stocks them anymore

Walked into the lumber yard on Route 9 last Friday to grab a replacement and the kid behind the counter tried to sell me a plastic speed square instead, which got me thinking about how nobody swings a hammer or checks a corner by hand on most of the crews I see now, so I'm curious if any of you older guys still keep a framing square in the truck or if I'm just holding onto the past.
