Showerthought: the $400 tile job in Reno that went sideways when my wet saw died mid-cut
Halfway through a bathroom floor last Tuesday my 10 year old wet saw just stopped, no warning, dead in the water. I had 30 tiles left to rip and the homeowner was watching me from the doorway with that look. Drove to the tool rental in Sparks and dropped $65 on a day rate for a saw that cut straighter than mine ever did. Finished the job but lost almost 3 hours on the swap and cleanup. Now I keep a cheap angle grinder with a diamond blade in the truck as backup, has anyone else had a saw motor just quit like that?
