Laser clinic vs med spa for tattoo removal, one was way more honest

I got quotes from a med spa in Austin and a dedicated laser clinic for the same 4 inch tattoo on my arm. The med spa quoted $1,800 for 10 sessions but the clinic said 5 sessions at $250 each would do it because they actually tested a patch first. They were right, I'm 4 sessions in and it's almost gone while my friend paid triple for the spa package and still has shading left. Anyone else find the specialists are cheaper because they're upfront about the real timeline?
