Lip filler bruising worse than the actual procedure

I got 0.5ml of lip filler last Thursday in Chicago and by Friday morning my upper lip looked like a bruised plum, no joke. The swelling went down by day 3 but the purple spots took a full 8 days to fade, and my job at a coffee shop meant customers kept asking if I got punched. Did anyone else have this happen, and did arnica cream actually help or was that a waste of $12?

Ugh, the bruising is always worse than the needle!

True, but the needle is way worse when they hit a nerve.
