Had my worst training week ever and it actually helped me more than my best week

After 4 months of slogging through couch to 5k, last Monday I couldn't even run 2 minutes without stopping, but that failure forced me to finally get my heart rate checked and it turned out I had a minor arrhythmia that was holding me back the whole time.

Jumped straight into that "worst training week ever" mindset and honestly it sounds like your body was just trying to get your attention in the most dramatic way possible. A heart arrhythmia is basically your heart saying "hey, remember I'm the one pumping blood here, maybe check in with me before you try to become an Olympic runner." Four months of struggling and it turns out you had a medical issue, not a discipline problem. That's like trying to drive a car with a flat tire wondering why you can't win a drag race. Hope you get that sorted out and finally experience what a normal run feels like without your heart doing its best impression of a faulty smoke detector.
