I finally fell for that $400 crane simulator training course
Signed up thinking it would sharpen my boom truck skills before a big job in Portland, but the software was outdated by about 8 years and didn't match any of my actual rigs. Lost my Saturday AND the $400 because the refund window was only 48 hours. Anyone else get burned by these online training fads?

Hold on, are you sure you gave it a fair shot? I mean, I get being steamed about the money, but a lot of the value in those things is the general safety mindset and the repetition of the training steps, not just the specific machine. Maybe the software was old, but the basic rules for load charts and radius limits haven't changed in forever. Your mileage may vary, but I've found that kind of thing can still teach you a thing or two if you look past the graphics.
