Old operator warned me about greasing too fast on a jib and I learned the hard way
Guy with 30 years on a Liebherr told me to slow down on the grease gun or the bearings would blow out. Ignored him, slapped a fresh tube in a hurry, and sure enough the outer race cracked on a job last Tuesday. Anybody else wreck a fitting by rushing the lube?

Think you mean the outer race cracked because the grease had no place to go, not from the speed itself.

Man, that's rough but honestly it's like everything else people try to shortcut. I see it all the time with folks rushing to charge their phone or laptop - they cram the cable in at a weird angle and end up killing the port. Same thing with cooking, you crank the heat to speed things up and burn the outside while the inside's still raw. The world's full of stuff that just needs a little patience, but nobody wants to hear it until something breaks. Hopefully that jib's not too expensive to fix.
