Rigging choice on a tight sidewalk job in Portland

Had to pick between a lattice boom or a hydraulic truck crane for a 4-story steel beam set between two buildings last Tuesday. I went with the hydraulic for the quick setup since the street closure was only 6 hours. It fit the swing radius but the load chart was way tighter than I liked, ended up doing two extra picks. Anyone else ever trade reach for speed and regret it on a small footprint site?
