Switched from a 3-part tagline to a single line for my truck and the calls picked up

My old magnetic sign had my name, my company name, and 'crane services' on three separate lines, which looked cluttered from a distance. I saw a competitor's truck with just 'Mitchell Crane & Rigging' in big letters, so I tried it on a job in Tacoma. Has anyone else found that simpler is better for getting spotted from the cab of another rig?

Yeah, that bit about getting spotted from another rig's cab is so true. I always figured you needed all the details out there, like a mini billboard. But a clean, big name is way easier to read when you're driving past at speed. Makes me wonder how many calls I missed with my old busy sign.

Exactly, a simple sign is basically free advertising every time you roll down the highway.
