Had a collections account on my report for a 7-year-old library fine in Phoenix
I figured I'd just wait it out since the statue of limitations passed, but when my mortgage guy told me it was still tanking my score by 30 points I finally paid the $47. Has anyone else been burned by a tiny old debt they ignored?

Paid a $35 medical bill that was sitting on my credit for years, same thing... score jumped like crazy after. Sometimes it's worth just throwing the cash at it even if it feels dumb.
