Unpopular opinion: Experian boost inflates your score too much
I stopped by a credit union in Denver last month and the loan officer straight up said my 760 score from Experian wasn't real because of the boost from my utility payments. It made me wonder if we are all gaming the system instead of building actual credit history. Has anyone else had a lender reject a boosted score like that?
760 isn't a real score because you paid your electricity bill on time? That's wild. I didn't realize lenders were actually ignoring boosted scores like that.
