Changed my mind about that appliance store on Broadway after last week's disaster

I used to swear by Wilson's Appliance on Broadway because they always had good prices and the guys seemed helpful. But last Thursday I brought in my three year old fridge that stopped cooling, and the manager told me straight up they don't handle warranty work anymore. Said I had to call the manufacturer myself and deal with their third party repair service. So I spent two hours on hold with some call center in another state just to get a service date three weeks out. Then the repair guy shows up, looks at the compressor, and tells me the part is backordered until next month. I called Wilson's back to complain and they basically said tough luck, not their problem. Ended up buying a new fridge from a place across town that actually has their own service department. Has anyone else had a store refuse to back their own products after the sale?

Honestly Wilson's just abandoned their customers for good.

Read an article last week about how they cut their customer service team by almost half. People are waiting weeks for warranty claims that used to take a few days. Is there any sign they're planning to fix this?
