Hit 500 returns processed this year and I'm still Team 'Customer is Wrong'

I work retail and after handling 500 returns this year, I actually think most customers who complain are just looking for free stuff or don't read signs. Anyone else think the whole 'customer is always right' thing is ruining good service for everyone?

Read an article saying return fraud costs stores billions each year.

Used to be a 'customer is always right' believer but 500 returns later that mindset is completely dead.
