That cashier at Home Depot changed my whole approach

I used to just hand over my card without looking at the total, but last Tuesday the lady at register 8 in Houston told me my total was $47.23 and then rang up $67.23 instead. Only caught it because I watched her punch it in. Now I always check the screen before I tap.

My buddy Dan caught a cashier doubling his total once, just like that.

My friend Sarah had something similar happen at a grocery store. The cashier rang up a bunch of stuff she didn't even buy and she didn't notice until she got home. Now she checks every single item before she pays.
