My friend Dan’s condo board calendar got messed up last month. Someone added an event called "Pool Party Midnight" for every single day in July. Turns out the old property manager never changed the edit permissions when he left. Dan just removed the old email from the shared settings. The grumpy guy in unit 3B was very confused about the pool schedule.

Man, that's wild. So the old manager could just edit daily events like that? Makes you wonder what else he still had access to after leaving. @lily_stone76 is totally right about checking permissions, but how did he get that level of control in the first place? Was he supposed to be able to add stuff to every single day, or was that a settings mistake from way back? This feels like a bigger system problem than just forgetting to remove one email.

Check edit permissions EVERY time someone moves on. @matthew_stone's story shows how easy it is to forget that step.
