Rant: My password manager got roasted and I actually listened

I used to just use the same 3 passwords for everything. Then some guy on a forum told me I was basically leaving my front door unlocked with a sign that said 'free stuff inside'. He said if one site gets hacked theyd have my email and password for everything else. That stung because I knew he was right. I switched to a manager last month and its annoying but I dont feel sick to my stomach every time I see a data breach article now. Anyone else get called out like that and actually change?

Man I was using "password123" on like 15 different sites until my bank got hit two years ago. Someone drained my checking account and I spent three weeks fighting with their fraud department to get my money back. That was the wake up call for me. Now I have Bitwarden with totally random 20 character passwords for everything and it autofills on my phone and laptop. It felt like a hassle at first but honestly after that one breach I'll never go back to recycling passwords.

Oh man, I had 14 sites all using "kittens4life" until someone got into my Walmart account and ordered $400 worth of stuff to a fake address... took me a month to sort it out with their support. I switched to LastPass after that and it was a pain getting used to it at first but now I can't imagine going back. My passwords are all 25 characters with symbols and numbers and I don't even know what half of them are anymore. It's scary how easy it is to lose everything over something so simple like reusing passwords.
