Spent 45 minutes tracking down a rattle in my truck that was just a loose soda can under the seat

I was driving home from work yesterday and heard this annoying rattle every time I hit a bump. Pulled over three times, checked the glove box, the door pockets, even looked under the hood thinking something was loose. After 45 minutes of frustration I finally found a crushed Dr Pepper can wedged under the passenger seat that I forgot about from last week. Felt like a total idiot but hey at least my suspension isn't falling apart. Has anyone else wasted time hunting down some stupid little noise that turned out to be nothing?

Stomped around my own car for a solid half hour once because of a plastic water bottle rolling back and forth under the driver's seat, so I get that mix of frustration and relief when you finally spot it. The way those little sounds travel through the car frame makes everything sound ten times worse than it really is. At least now you know your truck's in good shape and you can laugh about the can.

A Dr Pepper can? Oh man, that's one of those things that makes you feel like a total goofball but also relieved at the same time. At least it wasn't something expensive or dangerous, right? I had a similar thing happen with a loose coin in my cupholder once. Drove me nuts for a whole week before I found it. But 45 minutes for a soda can is pretty impressive dedication though!
