Drove a 2002 Ford F-150 for 8 years, switched to a 2024 Tacoma last month, and the gas savings are real.

I went from averaging 12 mpg to 22 mpg just by swapping trucks, and that's with the same 40 mile daily commute to job sites. Has anyone else seen that big of a jump after upgrading an old beater?

12 mpg with an empty bed is just bad driving.

Can't believe you were actually getting single digit mpg out of that F-150. My old 2001 Silverado was bad but never that bad, just barely broke into double digits on a good day. 22 mpg out of a Tacoma sounds almost too good to be true for a truck that size.
