That coffee shop in Portland with the $3 refill policy made me ditch my MacBook for a Chromebook
I sat at Common Grounds on Hawthorne for 4 hours coding and my MacBook battery died at 2pm. The barista told me they don't have outlets for customers since the remodel last year. How do you guys handle all-day laptop use without plugging in every 90 minutes?

Oh come on. It's a coffee shop not a co-working space. You knew the battery was gonna die eventually. Bring a power bank or take a break. Four hours in one spot is pushing it.

I get what you're saying about the four hours being a lot, but I think it depends on the shop and the vibe. If it's slow and I'm buying drinks and tipping, I don't see the harm in settling in for a while. Not everyone has a power bank handy either, and sometimes you just need to get work done.
