That $200 portable jump starter died on me in a parking lot
It was last Tuesday in a Target lot near Nashville. My battery was dead, no big deal. I grabbed my jump starter from the trunk and it showed full charge. But it just clicked and did nothing. Three tries, nothing. Had to call a buddy to come save me. Has anyone else had these portable jumpers crap out at the worst time?

Haven't had that happen but idk, is a dead battery really that big of a deal? Like it sucks but you called a buddy and got it sorted, right? Maybe I'm just used to the old school way of jumper cables where half the time they don't work either.

Jumper cables are one thing, but being stranded with a dead battery alone at night is a whole different story. You got lucky your buddy was free, but what if you're in a sketchy parking lot at 2am? That little inconvenience becomes a big safety risk pretty fast. Does your car at least tell you when the battery's going bad, or does it just leave you guessing?
