My early digital art was all laptop touchpad sketches.

Now I use a tablet and it's much better. Setting my brush to 50% opacity helps with layering colors.

That "jumping around" thing jessica_dixon mentioned is the worst. It's like trying to draw while wearing oven mitts. Getting a clean sketch on a touchpad really is next level skill.

You did your early digital art on a laptop touchpad... that's actually insane. I can't even use those things to point a cursor without it jumping around. Getting a whole sketch done feels like a superpower.
