Appreciation post: Finally fixed my visa run mess after 3 months of wrong info
I got stuck in a real loop trying to sort out my Thai visa extension from Chiang Mai. Every local office and online forum gave me a different list of needed papers. I needed a TM30 form from my landlord, but he was out of town for a month. Then I was told I needed a bank statement with a specific stamp, but my online bank couldn't do it. I spent about 12 hours total over three separate trips to the immigration office, each time missing one small thing. I finally got it all done yesterday by just paying for a visa agent service, which cost me 2,500 baht. It was a huge relief to have that stamp in my passport. Has anyone else found a reliable way to handle this stuff without the back and forth?

That "different list of needed papers" problem is the real killer. I've heard the rules can even change depending on which officer you get that day. Paying the agent was probably the only way to cut through that noise.

It's so frustrating when the rules seem to change on a whim like that.
