Met a guy in a co-working space in Chiang Mai who tracked every single hour of his work for 2 years straight
He showed me a spreadsheet with 17,000 rows of data and said it helped him figure out exactly when to stop taking clients, has anyone else built a system like that to avoid burning out on the road?

Wait 17,000 rows? That's insane. Like genuinely obsessive behavior but also kind of impressive if you think about how much discipline that takes. Nobody just casually tracks every single hour for two years without some serious dedication or maybe a touch of madness. That spreadsheet must have been a monster to look at, probably color coded and everything. Honestly I'm a little jealous of his consistency but also a little scared of what his brain must look like.

That 17,000 row spreadsheet sounds like something I'd actually appreciate seeing. It's smart to track your work hours that carefully especially when you're living out of coworking spaces. I think a lot of us digital nomads end up working way too many hours without realizing it.

Started tracking my own hours a few years back with a similar idea in mind. Not as deep as 17,000 rows but I used a simple time tracker app on my phone. Helped me catch something real - I was only productive about 4 hours a day even though I sat at my computer for 8 or 9. That spreadsheet approach sounds like overkill for most people but the core idea is solid. Might steal that "stop taking clients" threshold thing for myself actually.
