My wifi went out in a co-working space in Lisbon and I had to finish a client deadline on my phone
I was in this popular co-working spot in Lisbon called Cowork Central, about 3 weeks ago, and the internet just died for like 45 minutes. I had a client project due in 2 hours with a $500 penalty for late delivery. I ended up tethering off my phone's data plan, which was slow, but I got the bare bones uploaded before the cutoff. Turns out the place's router had overheated and they didn't have a backup. Has anyone else had to rely on their mobile hotspot in a pinch like this?

Yeah that router overheating thing is pretty common in those older buildings over there. I was in a similar spot in Barcelona last year at this tiny cafe that had terrible wifi, ended up sitting outside on a bench using my phone as a hotspot while a street musician played off-key somewhere nearby.

Man, I feel that! Had the same thing happen in a little hostel in Rome where the router was basically a brick. Ended up sitting on the curb at 2am using my hotspot while a guy kept trying to sell me selfie sticks every ten minutes.
