That one Thursday where everything went WRONG on a flip house

I was patching drywall in a 1920s bungalow and my mud knife slipped right into a hidden hornets nest in the wall cavity. Got stung 3 times on the arm before I even realized what was happening. Has anyone else found random wildlife mid-renovation?

Three stings and I'd have been calling THAT a win. I once kicked a stud wall in a flip house and a whole family of racoons came tumbling out of the attic. Ended up with a busted toe AND a racoon clawing my pant leg. My drywall career peaked that day with a screaming match against a rabies vector.

oh dude @jakem98 I feel that in my bones. Racoons are no joke, they're basically little trash pandas with zero fear and a lot of claws. Busting your toe on top of it is just insult to injury, like the drywall gods decided you needed a full lesson that day. I've had my share of "what could go wrong" moments on sites too, and the screaming matches just part of the deal when you're up against wildlife that thinks your job site is their nesting spot. Honestly you walking away with just a busted toe and a torn pant leg sounds like you got off lucky, those things can carry some nasty stuff. Solidarity from someone who's been there man.
