Update: I chose a $150 oscillating tool over a reciprocating saw for my bathroom demo.

Everyone told me to get the bigger saw, but the oscillating tool with a carbide blade got into the tight corners around the plumbing (and saved my drywall) in about 3 hours, so has anyone else gone against the usual tool advice for a demo job?

My last bathroom reno I used a cheap chisel for tile. It took a whole weekend and my hands were wrecked. Sometimes the wrong tool is the right tool if you're stubborn enough.

My tile saw was a grinder and a prayer.

A whole weekend with a cheap chisel, @patel.alice? I can't even imagine the state of your hands after that. That's some next level stubbornness right there.
