I finally bought a $90 oscillating multi-tool after years of saying I didn't need one.

It saved my neck trying to cut a clean outlet hole in drywall where my jigsaw would have been a mess. What other jobs have you guys used one for that made it worth the cash?

That's actually a plunge cut, not a clean hole. The oscillating tool is perfect for it though. I use mine for trimming door jambs when laying new flooring.

Honestly I'd call that a clean hole too if it worked. Tbh my favorite use is scraping up old tile adhesive. That stuff is like concrete and the oscillating tool just eats right through it without wrecking the subfloor.

Have you tried the carbide grit scraper blades for that? They're a total game changer for tile mastic, they don't get clogged up like the regular ones do. I went through three standard blades on one bathroom floor before I switched. The grit blade just powered through and saved my arms.
