Vent: My garage shelf collapse has tools EVERYWHERE

I think skipping anchors in drywall is FINE, but now what?

Looks like your tools decided to have a party on the floor. Skipping anchors is a bold choice, really shows confidence in gravity. Now you get to play the fun game of 'what goes where' with a side of regret. Sorting through that mess is going to be a real treat. At least you know where not to cut corners next time, right after you finish cleaning up.

Saw a video once where a guy's whole pegboard gave up and it looked just like this. Felt that pain through the screen, @wrenk91. You'll find screws for days and that one socket you need is always under the toolbox. My money's on the level taking a dive and the tape measures all unspooling into a nest. Good luck telling the 3/8 from the 1/4 inch drive sockets now.

What was the actual damage report after gravity won the argument? Any broken tools or just a huge pile of tangled cords and scattered screws? There's always that one special bit or driver that disappears into another dimension when this happens. Did the whole shelf just nope out all at once, or was it a slow-motion tragedy?
