My noisy floor taught me to add underlayment every time
I laid laminate in my guest room and didn't add the foam layer. I thought it was just extra money. Big mistake. The floor echoed with every footstep. After some rain, a few planks swelled at the joints. I searched online and saw that underlayment cuts noise and protects from moisture. Now I always put it down first. Anyone have tips for choosing good padding?
