Pro tip: I saw a neighbor's deck fail in a storm last spring

It was in Cincinnati, and the whole thing came down because the ledger board wasn't flashed right against the house. I mean, I always just followed the basic instructions before, but now I spend an extra hour on that step. Anyone got a better flashing method than just the standard Z-flashing?
