Question about swapping my pegboard for a French cleat wall in the garage

I chose the French cleat system after 8 years of pegboard hooks falling off every time I grabbed a wrench, and now I can actually find my 10mm socket without digging through a pile of fallen tools, has anyone else dealt with hooks that just won't stay put?

My buddy Mike spent a whole Saturday putting up one of those fancy magnetic tool bars from the big box store, and three days later his pliers took a dive onto his truck hood and left a nice little dent. He switched to cleats that same weekend and hasn't had a single drop since.
