Bought a $1500 underwater camera for the cutter head and it's been a total waste

I thought seeing the bottom in real time would help me spot rock pockets and avoid jams, but the silt cloud is so thick it's just a green blur after two feet. The mounting bracket broke off in a current swing last week, and now the whole thing is sitting in my truck. Has anyone actually gotten clear video in a high-silt river, or is this gear just not made for our kind of work?

Sounds like that camera's main feature is showing you how fast $1500 can turn into a paperweight.

My drone did the same thing last month, just dropped out of the sky.
