Wait, you can SKIP a consultation? Like @nathan775 said, that first talk IS the whole job!

Ugh, this is so true and you see it everywhere now. It's like everyone is trying to skip the important first step to save five minutes. I've watched people do it with car mechanics and home contractors too, then they're shocked when the fix is wrong. That first real talk is where you figure out what the actual problem is, you know? Cutting it short just sets the whole thing up to fail from the start.
