Looking through some old trade magazines and saw a 1998 ad for a basic facial machine
It was listed at $2,800, which is wild to think about. I found it in a box of stuff from a retired esthetician I bought a used steamer from last month. The tech in that ad looks like something from a sci-fi movie now. What's the most outdated piece of equipment you've come across that was once top of the line?

That rebalancing skin electrons line is just perfect marketing, isn't it.

Oh man, that's a trip! I found an old galvanic machine from the 90s at a flea market once. It was this huge beige box with dials and actual needle gauges, looked like a prop from a Frankenstein movie. The manual talked about "rebalancing skin electrons" which is just wild. It weighed a ton and probably did about as much as a basic jade roller does now.
