Walked into a new spa in Portland and saw something that made me cringe
I was checking out a place called Serenity Glow last week, and their front desk person was doing a facial consultation. She told a client with obvious rosacea that a strong glycolic peel would 'fix it right up'. I couldn't believe it. That's the exact opposite of what you should suggest for that skin condition. It made me wonder where their training came from. Has anyone else seen bad advice given out so openly at a business?

Reminds me of the time I tried to fix my own sink. Let's just say the plumber had some strong words about my "training" too.

That "fix it right up" line is wild. I saw a similar thing at a nail place where they told someone with peeling gel nails to just file it down hard, which would wreck the natural nail underneath. It makes you lose trust in a place fast.
