Spent $1200 on a Mustad hoof jack and I'm torn on the value

Bought it for a tough draft horse job in Lancaster last fall, thinking it would save my back and speed things up. It definitely made pulling that big shoe easier, but for most of my regular clients, it just sits in the truck. Some guys swear by them for any corrective work, others say a good pull-off bar and technique is all you need. For those who have one, do you use it enough to justify the cost?

Remember that time you bought the fancy cordless grinder?

Oh man, that's the worst feeling. I get it though, buying a big tool for that one special job. It's like when Leo bought that cordless grinder for a single project and it's been on the shelf ever since. Sometimes the right tool saves the day, but then it just becomes this expensive thing you have to store. If it saved your back on that draft horse, maybe that alone was worth it, even if it doesn't come out for every client.
