Temperature swings in my fermenter remind me of office thermostat wars
I see more people focusing on stable heat for good sauerkraut. It's like how a steady office temp stops team arguments. My home brew now lives in a back room, away from drafts.

That back room move is smart for avoiding drafts. What finally worked for me was just wrapping the fermenter in an old towel (the thick bath sheet kind). It's cheap and acts like a buffer, so the temperature inside changes way slower than the room's.

I mean, it's not just the towel itself. It works because it's thick enough to act like insulation, so the temp inside can't swing as fast.
