Serious question, has anyone else had a plank from a 'quick-click' vinyl floor snap clean in half during a tricky corner cut?

I was installing a NuCore floor in a bathroom in Dayton last week, and when I went to make a tight scribe around a toilet flange, the plank just broke with a loud pop, which I've never seen happen before in 8 years of doing this.

Whoa, that's wild. I mean, was it super cold in the room or something? I've had them get brittle and crack on me when I was working in a garage in the winter. Maybe it's just me, but that quick-click stuff can feel a bit thin sometimes.

Oh man, I know exactly what you mean! I had a plank from a different brand snap right at the lock when I was trying to angle it under a door jamb. It made that same loud pop sound, scared me half to death. They just don't make that locking edge very strong on some of these thinner floors.
